Logjambee `08 - Meet at DeWitt's RiverTrail Park -- POSTPONED
Due to the on again/off again nature of this project, as well as the high waters of late, the annual logjam bee has been postponed as well. That's not to say that we haven't been clearing / cutting several jams - we have. If any of you feel a need to slosh around for a half day or so in the river sometime before the snow flies, pull on the waders and call me. We'll visit one or two sites that need some attention.

Canoe Trip: Babcock Landing (Bath Twp) to DeWitt Riverside Park

Saturday is the FRIENDS of the Looking Glass annual fall canoe/kayak trip. Be at Babcock Landing on Babcock Lake Rd at the LGR bridge (north of East Lansing, East of DeWitt) ready to go at 10AM. Have your car spotted at DeWitt's Riverside or RiverTrail parks.

The trip duration is 3.5 hours give or take, to DeWitt. Bring a shore lunch and take it leisurely if you like, and bring a plastic bag to bring out your trash and whatever you find along the way (there will be darned little). This will be a glorious color and wildlife tour of the neatest canoeing river and watershed in lower Michigan. Open to the public, rookies and pros alike. Free of charge, no stamps, coins or Disney coupons. BYOF&D.
